Manfredi Gioacchini is a photographer known for his work in Europe and the United States. Always fascinated by the classical arts, he finds his preferred form of expression in photography, dedicating himself to various modalities such as portraits, interiors, and documentaries.

Throughout his career, Gioacchini has developed a strong interest in human interactions with nature, documenting and emphasizing the importance of the relationship between people and the environment. The delicate link between the material and the abstract, a constant theme in his work, gives his photographs dimension, but also something more engaging and precious: intimacy.

Gioacchini was born and raised in Italy but has spent most of his adult life abroad. The changing landscapes of his life in Africa, America, and Antarctica became the backdrop for his personal and professional growth, endowing him with the quality of a keen yet aware observer.

In 2016, Gioacchini published his first book, "Portraits of Artists," a collection of photographs depicting prominent artists from the vibrant Californian scene in their studios. The critically acclaimed book received numerous awards and was included in the permanent collections of prestigious institutions such as the LACMA in Los Angeles, the MoMA in New York, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. This achievement reflects the importance and impact of Gioacchini's work in the art world and confirms his mastery: denying his own ego and acting as an external observer, Gioacchini infuses his photos with a familiarity that strengthens their message.

In 2020, Gioacchini published his second book, "Floating Islands," a captivating collection of photographs aimed at raising public awareness about the planet's last wild areas. Through his images, the photographer aims to highlight the beauty and fragility of these pristine landscapes, encouraging viewers to value and preserve their nature.

After the pandemic, Gioacchini returned to Italy. His return to the peninsula strengthened his desire for discovery, motivating him to integrate his national dimension with the international one. For this reason, he actively collaborates with various European and North American museums, publications, galleries, and international brands. These collaborations allow him to share his artistic vision with a broader audience, further disseminating the importance of nature preservation and promoting environmental awareness.

The subtle contrast between observing and being, so deeply rooted in his photographs, reaches its peak here when the avid traveler returns home. When the photographer evolves, completely and consciously, into a living paradox: a member, yes, yet a guest.
